Terms and Conditions for 2025
By booking and staying with us, you have agreed to our Terms & Conditions and Campsite Rules set out below. A copy of these can be found on our website or given upon request.
- Fire pits are used entirely at the customer’s and their group’s own risk. Chiltern Retreat is not liable for any accidents caused by firepits or their use. Fires must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult. Please ensure all fires are extinguished before leaving unattended and all of your group are aware of where firepits are situated and what they look like in case they are still hot even when not lit. Fires are restricted to the designated areas and firepits provided – NO LARGE BONFIRES ALLOWED! Do not add anything to the fire burning other than the logs that Chiltern Retreat provide.
- Chiltern Retreat reserves the right to implement a firepit ban in extremely dry or hot weather conditions for the safety of guests and to prevent wildfires from starting.
- Please ensure all guests in your booking are familiar with the location of their nearest fire extinguishers. Fire Extinguishers are provided for use in the event of an emergency. Anyone found tampering, or misusing them shall be putting others at risk and will be removed from the site immediately. Any damage caused or replacements needed will be invoiced for.
- Children must be supervised at all times. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- All group members must keep noise levels to a low level during their stay to ensure peace and quiet is respected within our rural area and for our neighbouring residents.
- Between 10 pm and 8 am, please take extra care to ensure noise levels are low and inaudible to other neighbouring campers so everyone can enjoy peace and quiet whilst camping.
- We allow dogs on site on the basis that we trust your judgement that they are friendly and well behaved around people/other dogs that will be on site. Please keep dogs on a lead in communal areas and under close supervision at all times. It is not acceptable to allow your dog to roam freely. Any dogs that cause issues on site will be required to leave the premises.
- ALL dog foul must be picked up and put in the bin.
- No illegal drugs are permitted on site. Their use or possession will not be tolerated, and anyone found with them will be removed immediately, and the police will be informed.
- We acknowledge if camping in the Park Field Site that there is a risk of cricket balls hitting guests, vehicles or other property during play on the adjacent cricket pitch. All players will take precautions to prevent this from happening, but there is still a risk, and Chiltern Retreat accepts no liability in the event of this happening.

- Please respect Chiltern Retreats’ communal facilities and keep them clean & tidy when using.
- Damage to shrubs, trees, buildings and fixtures or any other property associated with Chiltern Retreat must be reported to a member of the Chiltern Retreat team immediately, and the people responsible for any damage caused may incur charges where necessary.
- The driving speed limit on site is 5mph for the safety of all our customers and staff.
